Divide both sides by -3 to get -9x+10 = -558 You would then subtract 10 from both sides to get -9x = -568 Divide both sides by -9 to finish the problem off. x = [latex] frac{9}{568} [/latex]

you have to multiply -3 by all the things in the parenthesis and that will give you 27x-30=186 then you combine like terms by adding  30 to each side and that will give you 216 the you divide both sides by 27 and that will give you your answer x=8
