The wildfire affects soil properties. The reason is the organic matter (OM) located on, or near, the soil surface which is rapidly combusted. These changes on the other hand affect the underlying soil. The chemical, physical, and microbiological properties of the underlying soil is influenced. Also, wildfire lead to loss of nitrogen, which is very important part of the forest ecosystem.
